A DESTINATION WEDDING WITH ME AS DJ IN THE RUHR REGION
Nora and Lukas contacted me at the end of 2020, in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic, to book me for their wedding in July 2021. During a very pleasant initial phone conversation, it immediately became clear that we were on the same wavelength. I was particularly impressed by the positive mindset of these two travel enthusiasts. The wedding planning proceeded with confidence and optimism throughout and, as expected, was rewarded with a beautiful wedding!
When I entered the wedding venue for the first time, I knew immediately that Nora and Lukas had hit the nail on the head with their choice of location (Luck in a Cup in Mülheim): a venue that completely won me over with its mix of modern industrial design indoors and a summery beach vibe outdoors. It was clear to me that Luck in a Cup was the perfect place for the two of them to celebrate!
FROM JAMES ARTHUR TO TROPICAL HOUSE TO HIP HOP
The couple danced their opening dance to the beautiful “Falling like the stars” by James Arthur. I had slowed this song down a little for them beforehand. For the opening of the beach dance floor, they chose “Friday” by Riton with the Nightcrawlers sample, which has been known for generations.
After that, they danced until the early hours of the morning to songs by Joel Corry, Ed Sheeran, Hugel, Alle Farben, Trettmann, and their (and my) favorite DJ, Avicii. It was an incredibly great evening with incredibly warm guests, many unforgettable moments, and, of course, a lot of sand in our shoes.
A few weeks after the wedding, I found this thank-you letter in my mailbox:

Even during the preliminary meeting, we could tell that we were totally on the same wavelength and that Rapha is extremely professional in what he does. Everything went smoothly on the day itself.
